The Role and Skills requirements.

 

The purpose of this job is to work as part of the Referrals and Development and Partnerships Teams and in support of a Consensus Regional Division.  Working under the direction of the Head of Referrals you will be responsible for establishing key partnerships with Commissioners and individuals referred to or making enquiries into the supported services offered by Consensus, its subsidiaries and partners. Your focus will be to support the achievement of occupancy expectations as set by the Senior Management Team.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

To foster and manage positive working relationships with commissioning managers, care management teams and other stakeholders to generate goodwill and referrals into the organisation.

Alongside operational colleagues coordinate and manage individual enquiries and assessments to mature services, developments and Performance Improvement Plan’s.

Bespoke Developments in response to Move-on plans from existing services.

Support the tenants of Limetree Housing by providing advice and support with complaints and monitoring of landlord and tenant obligations.

Provide advice and guidance to the Divisional Director and Senior Leadership Team on the focus and priority of activity to achieve occupancy within the region.

To actively support the performance of the Consensus Development and Partnerships and Referrals Team, contributing to the continuous improvement and development of skills, knowledge and working practices across the team.

Support the Heads of Development and Partnerships and Operational teams and marketing Department with referral generation, including supporting the development of promotional material and localised marketing campaigns.

To ensure you are familiar with and comply with all Company policies, procedures and legislative requirements governing the operation of services.

To work flexibly alongside other members of the referrals team to ensure workload pressure across the UK are managed. Including but not limited to, managing referrals and assessments in other regional localities.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The skills you’ll need

 

Experience of working directly with people with disabilities within a Health, Social Care or Specialist Education setting with an associated management qualification and continuous professional development.  Project management experience

 

 

Knowledge in all areas of Learning Disabilities of local and national commissioning priorities and processes.  Knowledge and experience of the assessment, referral and funding processes within Health and Social Care. Awareness of current learning disability market and Local Authority financial processes.  Appreciation of the value of excellent Customer service and satisfaction approaches.  An awareness of the political nature of commissioning authorities. Excellent organisational skills, an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.  IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint. Able to work under pressure in stressful situations.
