Grovelands Farmhouse near Godstone, Surrey provides a rural, supportive residential setting for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.
Situated close to the pretty, small town of Oxted, Grovelands is a traditional farmhouse spread across two floors, with period features and spacious rooms, adjacent to a working farm. Primrose Bank is a separate modern bungalow offering two self-contained flats designed to support two individuals suited to a more independent lifestyle.
The Service Manager role
We’ll look to you to lead the team at Grovelands providing operational and strategic direction and making sure everything runs smoothly and cost-effectively. Together, you’ll ensure the individuals you support have the opportunity to develop a varied and fulfilling lifestyle – and the chance to define their own goals and decide their own future.
From ensuring the highest standards of support, to managing budgets, and developing your team, it’s a varied role in an organisation that’s leading the way in supporting those with learning disabilities.

The skills you’ll need
A strong, supportive leader and effective manager, you’ve successfully managed a team in a challenging Learning Disability Service. You’ve also had professional senior level contact with CQC and have developed positive relationships with commissioning teams.
You should have achieved or be working towards a QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care or hold equivalent qualification, such as NVQ Level 4 in both Health and Social Care and Leadership and Management in Care Services. Above all, you’re committed to the same high-quality, person-centered services that we are – services that help people to a better life.
