Healthcare Assistant - Guysfield Residential Home

Letchworth, Hertfordshire
£9.11ph
Day shift: 8am - 8pm
Night shift: 8pm - 8am
Bank work assisting the home as and when required
We regularly Covid test all our residents and staff

ABOUT THE HOME

You can find us in the beautiful conservation village of Willian, just a mile to the south of Letchworth Garden City, in Hertfordshire. With all the amenities of a modern home, you’ll find first-class facilities with exciting activities, and plenty of places to relax or entertain.

There’s beautiful gardens to explore and our residents like to make the most of local amenities – including the village shop, post office and our local pubs: ‘The Fox’ and ‘The Three Horseshoes’.

We offer fantastic training and development opportunities, each of our care workers work towards their Care Certificate, giving them the confidence to deliver first-class care.

We also undertake a wide range of diverse training, from manual handling to infection control and safeguarding. We have an extensive training team, consisting of regional trainers as well as a network of in-home trainers, able to deliver programmes to colleagues.

In 2015 we launched our own dementia training programme, called ‘My World’. This is accredited by City and Guilds and was awarded the Princess Royal Training Award, every employee is given the opportunity to learn and develop.

ABOUT THE ROLE

An excellent and exciting opportunity to join our Guysfield Residential Home as a Care Assistant!   You will work part of a great team and be making a difference to our residents by providing excellent care standards, taking pride in treating our residents as individuals. 
As a Care Assistant at Caring Homes, you’ll help residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve.  Responsible for supporting our elderly residents with daily living, providing support and companionship, assisting with their physical and personal needs – where every day is different and rewarding!
